Based in Weybridge, Surrey, and London, Everfair Tax is a tax advisory and compliance business offering a full range of private client tax and expatriate tax services. We aim to offer our clients a personalised service built on ensuring we really understand their issues, plans and aspirations and assist them in achieving those in the most tax effective manner possible, giving them peace of mind.

As a small business, we can really take the time to know our clients and ensure we are offering the right advice at the right time and provide a proactive service. We work effectively as a part of a team of advisors including lawyers, HR Specialists and financial advisors as necessary to make sure that is the case.  

Our People

Gillian Everall BA (Hons), CTA, TEP

Gillian EverallHaving trained in Deloitte and gained experience in a number of other large firms such as Baker Tilly, BDO LLP and most recently Frank Hirth plc as an Associate Director in the Private Client Group, Gillian has spent the last 15 years advising high net worth individuals.
 
Gillian has experience of a broad range of UK personal tax issues. In recent years however she has specialised in dealing with high net worth private clients in the international arena, advising on all aspects of their UK taxation position such as pre arrival structuring of assets and creation of capital, establishing an individual's domicile, planning for remittances and advising on business investment relief for entrepreneurial clients.

Gillian has also advised extensively on the UK treatment of specific investments for clients moving to the arising basis and on the treatment of non-UK pension schemes. Another element of the work Gillian undertakes is advising on the UK tax consequences of a proposed divorce agreement for UK resident non-domiciled individuals.
 
Gillian also has a number of years of experience in advising on Inheritance Tax planning issues including planning for deemed domicile and the treatment of offshore trusts both in connection with the settlor and beneficiary. She has also been involved in advising clients on tax efficient structuring including the use of trusts for planning for deemed domicile for Inheritance Tax purposes and for capital gains tax purposes.

Richard Wilcox

Richard Wilcox
With over 20 years’ experience in the expatriate tax arena, Richard has experience of advising both corporate and private clients. He spent the former part of his career within the Big 4 at Ernst & Young gaining an in-depth knowledge on a wide range of expatriate matters and working with large multi-national organisations. Richard furthered his career at Chiltern plc and, more recently, as a Senior Manager with BDO LLP, focusing on mid-tier companies with small to medium sized international workforces.
 
Richard has a breadth of knowledge in advising on the tax, social security, payroll and reward related matters all commonly associated with the movement of individuals into and out of the UK. He specialises in assisting companies looking to move employees cross border, focusing on; assignment policy and assignment letter design and review, tax and social security planning and tax equalisation/protection implementation.
 
Richard also provides home and host country payroll advice and the related corporate obligations including implementation and running of shadow and modified payrolls, social security advice including certificate of coverage (A1) applications, short term business visitor reviews and HMRC agreement applications.
 
Richard is also able to assist with personal UK tax return preparation, arrival and departure tax planning including Statutory Residence Test reviews and advice for non-residents retaining UK property interests.

 

Debbie Wilcox

As a UK and US dual handler Debbie has over 20 years’ experience of advising both corporate and private clients. She spent the former part of her career within the Big 4 at Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers primarily focusing on the UK and US tax and social security issues affecting expatriates working within large multi-national organisations. Debbie furthered her career at BDO LLP, focusing on smaller companies and startup companies allowing her to be involved with many of the tax related aspects of international assignments from start to finish. Debbie also gained experience of assisting Private Clients with their UK and US tax return filing obligations.
 
As well as advising on expatriate related matters, Debbie has experience of assisting companies to draft assignment contracts for their employees ensuring that the tax and social security related issues are covered, reviewing and advising on tax policies and assisting with any associated stay at home and tax equalization calculations.
 
Debbie is also able to assist with personal US tax returns and has spent time working in the US on secondment. She deals with US Citizens and Green Card Holders who are either living inside or outside of the US, dual status individuals and non-resident aliens.

 

Jenni Darby BSc (Hons), CTA, ATT

Jenni Darby
Jenni has over eight years of tax experience, of which six have been specialised in private client tax, particularly advising high net worth and ultra-high net worth UK resident and non-domiciled individuals on their UK tax affairs. This has included pre arrival planning, advising on the impact of remittances of foreign income and gains to the UK and planning for deemed domicile.
 
Jenni has also assisted with advice and compliance with the Annual Tax on Enveloped Dwellings, including advising on UK property ownership and Capital Gains Tax for both UK and non-UK residents.
 
For the last two years, Jenni has worked in expatriate tax at Deloitte as part of the Financial Services team, assisting employers with advice and compliance for their inbound and outbound assignees and permanent transfers.
 
Jenni has given UK arrival and departure briefings, advised on tax residency under the Statutory Residence Test and assisted senior assignees with advice on UK Capital Gains Tax planning including Principle Private Residence Relief, and planning for the Remittance Basis Charge for longer term UK residents.

 

Salvatore Dilena BA (Hons), ATA

Salvatore DilenaSalvatore completed his qualification as a chartered accountant with the a top ten London-based firm and spent his formative years predominantly working in the area of audit and assurance which are services he continues to provide to date.

Salvatore's expertise allows him to service a portfolio of clients in general accountancy and taxation services as well as fulfilling more specialised projects including: valuations, forensic and expert witness work.
 
Out of the office Salvatore is proud to be an active trustee of the charity – READY. He is passionate about food, eating out and enjoys skiing.
