James commenced his career in accounting and moved on to work specifically within taxation arena in 2014. Specialising in income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax for individuals and trusts, he also works with owner managed businesses, understanding the relationships between directors and their personal service companies.
Working predominately with high net worth individuals and both UK domicile and non-UK domicile clients, he is a member of Chartered Institute of Taxation (CTA), Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) and the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
James’ experience and expertise enables him to provide his clients with both compliance and advisory services across a broad spectrum of areas. These include inheritance tax planning, tax residency status, income tax and capital gains tax planning, advising on UK and offshore trusts, and the remittance basis for individuals with foreign income and gains, who are resident but not domiciled in the UK.
As a keen fitness enthusiast, he attends the Gym anywhere between three and five days a week and has strict fitness and nutrition goals to keep him in shape. Gaming and playing the PS4 is another favourite pastime along with eating out, and as a foodie he enjoys a wide variety of dishes but will not be persuaded to eat celery
